Dual Enrollment

F-1 students may be allowed to take credit hours at another U.S. institution to count towards their full course of study at OCC.

Reduced Course Load (RCL)

F-1 students must enroll as full-time students but may be eligible to apply for RCL under specific circumstances.

Change of Education Level

Request an I-20 for a new program of study.

Program Extension

Request an extension for an expiring I-20.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

Request a Curricular Practical Training (CPT) I-20 from Oakland Community College after you have obtained an internship, but BEFORE you begin employment.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

OPT Employment Update

You are required to report where you are employed and if the position is full time or part time within 90 days of the start date of your OPT.
